Since 1987, Great Alaska Adventure Lodge has been providing uncommon adventures for those who want more. Midway between Seward and Homer on the famed Kenai Peninsula, this lodge lives up to its name, offering everything from sightseeing and adventure travel options to multi-activity combination trips to world-class fishing.

LENGTH OF STAY
One of the most flexible operations in all of Alaska, this operation offers trip packages of any length, from two to ten day trips with any-day arrivals and free Anchorage pickup.
THE FISHING
Great Alaska Adventure Lodge is fortunate to have been permitted to fish the refuge trout waters of the Upper Kenai. This area is one of the most spectacular trout fisheries in the state, and catching and releasing 25 trout or char up to 10 pounds in a single day is not uncommon.
Kenai River - G.A.A.L. fishes Alaska's most famous river, the Kenai, from 20' River Sleds and drift boats. These boats are ideal fishing platforms for targeting the world's largest king salmon and casting to silvers later in the season.
Kasilof River - The Kasilof produces quality king and silver salmon runs from May through September. This productive, drift boat-only river offers a beautiful setting, consistant action and great fishing.
Wadefishing Rivers - Numerous waters that are fished and targeted based on time of year and water conditions, G.A.A.L. can access a handful of classic Alaskan streams and rivers offering great fishing for grayling, steelhead, salmon and trout.
Fly Out Fishing - Packages to G.A.A.L. can include fly-outs to remote streams for Kings, reds and silver salmon and trophy rainbow trout. These waters include a large number of prolific, untouched freshwater rivers and streams.
Seward Offshore - The gulf of Alaska is home to glaciers, orcas, monster halibut, giant lingcod, and huge numbers of silver salmon. For a trip to fill the freezer, there is no place like this particular area.
Cook Inlet - Cook Inlet halibut and King salmon fishing can be amazing, with average halibut of 30 to 40 pounds and many in the triple digits. Early in the year quality King salmon are caught by trolling the beaches, making for an excellent combo trip.
One thing that makes Great Alaska Adventure Lodge totally unique is the phenomenal "home water" fishing situation. They offer what they call the "evening beach fishing program" directly in front of the lodge. This beach, directly in front of the cabins, boasts five world records - possibly more than any other single run in Alaska! Each evening, one of the guides is there to assist with evening fishing and offer instruction and assistance in landing fish. This is a huge bonus, as the home water option allows guests to fish immediately upon arrival and right up until an hour before departure! Evening fishing hours during your stay are almost unlimited.
BOATS AND EQUIPMENT OFFERED
Equipment includes a variety of 20' River Sled jet boats, drift boats, and airplanes. While sping fishing and conventional tackle is included in all packages, fly fishing gear and equipment is not.
THE LODGING
The main lodge is located in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula on 25 acres of prime mid-river property overlooking the confluence of the Kenai and Moose rivers and the mountains and glaciers of the Harding Icefield. With a large, main riverfront lodge and outcamps located throughout the Kenai Peninsula, guests to Great Alaska Adventure Lodge can experience the thrill of remote Alaska while at the same time enjoying excellent accommodations and a full range of amenities. This is an operation that specializes in providing guests with great fishing, backcountry wildlife safaris and exhilarating wilderness activities with a variety of lodging options to accommodate different tastes and budgets.
The main lodge offers accommodations for up to fifty guests, excellent dining, a full bar and even a large conference space for business and corporate groups. The main lodge rooms and the riverside cabins all have fireplaces, comfortable furniture, and plenty of space. Some of the cabins are two level with spiral staircases. You can expect amenities such as welcome baskets, "coffee to your door" wakeups, riverfront views, private baths, fireplaces, and even a nightly happy hour. This complimentary "Evening Happy Hour" is a big event at the lodge, making for great times with all of the guests in attendance. For those looking for something other than a traditional lodge experience, G.A.A.L. also offers a number of backcountry camping options and permanent tent camps that can provide the prefect balance of rugged and civilized living.
From G.A.A.L.'s very first days as an angling destination, clients requested packages that included not only fishing, but sightseeing and adventure travel options to share with families and non-anglers. Over the years these "combination trips" have evolved into unique, customized itineraries popular with both fishermen and adventurers alike.
