FISHING

General Information
Located in the heart of Bristol Bay and Katmai National Park, Enchanted Lake Lodge focuses primarily on the region’s prolific numbers of trophy rainbow trout, arctic char, Dolly Varden and grayling. All five species of Pacific Salmon are available throughout the season, but Enchanted Lake prides itself on being a “rainbow focused” destination. Each day during your stay, your itinerary will change depending on your preferences and the best fishing conditions during your trip. With close proximity to many of Alaska’s most productive fisheries, you will have access to many of the world famous trout streams for which the state is known. Because the lodge is situated near many of these productive options, aircraft and flight time is kept to a minimum, with as much time spent on the water as possible. Fishing options at Enchanted Lake include the Kulik River, American, Brooks, Battle, Big and Little Ku, Moraine, Funnel, Kvichak and many more. Enchanted Lake takes great pride in having one of the most solid and well versed group of guides found anywhere in the world. A day on the water with one of these experts will not disappoint even the most seasoned angler! Enchanted Lake also utilizes a fleet of cached jetboats throughout the Bristol Bay region, giving them access to literally hundreds of miles of blue ribbon trout water. Rafts are also implemented on smaller streams to cover water that cannot be accessed on foot or via jetboat. No matter what time of the season you choose to visit Alaska, you will not find a more seasoned guide staff or solid fishing program anywhere in the region!

Boats and Equipment
Lodge aircraft include two beautifully rebuilt DeHavilland Beavers on floats to access multiple rivers each day during your stay. The Lodge also has two brand new Wooldridge boats for striking the Kulik River from Nonvianuk Lake. Enchanted Lake also has many jetboats stationed all across Bristol Bay’s most productive streams for easy access and rapid relocation during your day on the water. The Lodge will also employ the use of small rafts to access multiple miles of rivers, allowing anglers to cover lots of water while still being able to get out and wade productive runs. It is recommended that anglers bring all of their own gear and equipment, including rods, reels, waders and wading boots. If you would rather use the Lodge's gear, however, they do provide all rods, reels, waders and boots of the highest quality.
