Travel With a Great Group and a Host That Really Knows the Area
Every year we offer a number of customized, handpicked trips that are personally organized, lead and hosted by different members of the Yellow Dog team. This is a great way to enjoy a fantastic week of fishing with a fun group of fellow anglers as well as someone who really knows the area, the guides, the fishing, and the overall operation. New hosted dates are being added and posted on this site throughout the year, so be sure to check back on a regular basis!
"I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my recent hosted trip with Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures. I've only been destination fishing twice before, but fishing with Yellow Dog has taken it to a new level. The attention to detail and the amount of information produced by Yellow Dog was incredible. There really were no unexpected surprises at all ... which is a good thing. The next time I do this, Yellow Dog will be my first phone call. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of this trip. Thanks also for everything you added to the trip by hosting. I learned a ton and enjoyed every aspect of the week!"

Join Yellow Dog ambassador Rebekka Redd for a week on Cayo Largo, the Permit Capital of Cuba. An accomplished angler, writer, speaker and photographer, Rebekka will be your hostess for the week in one of Cuba’s best fisheries. Cayo Largo (“Long Key”) is 100 miles as the crow flies south of Havana and Cuba’s mainland. Limited to only twelve anglers on any given week, the waters around Cayo Largo offer not only terrific flats fishing for permit, but good numbers of bonefish (and good sized ones as well) and mangroves where baby tarpon and snook can be found. Contact kristen [at] yellowdogflyfishing [dot] com (Kristen Tripp) for additional details or to reserve your spot.
Join Yellow Dog ambassador Jako Lucas for an incredible peak-season week of fishing on Cuba’s southern coast for the dates of June 8-15, 2017. The Playa Larga and Las Salinas fishery offers an incredible amount of angling diversity, with legitimate opportunities for bonefish, permit and snook, and some of the finest tarpon action found anywhere in Cuba. At a cost of $4,938.00 per person all-inclusive from Havana, this trip is hands-down the best value found anywhere in Cuba. We expect this trip to fill and sell out quickly.
Join Yellow Dog ambassador and one of the best permit guides in saltwater fishing, Wil Flack, for a permit-focused fishing week aboard Avalon I off the northern coast of Cuba in the Cayo Romano and Cayo Cruz fishing areas. A Canadian steelhead guide, Wil landed in Belize with permit fever and now calls Belize home, guiding and seeking permit for anglers from around the world. This is a terrific opportunity to join Wil aboard Avalon I, one of the nicest yachts in the waters of Cuba. Anglers on this trip can find permit, migrating tarpon, good numbers of bonefish and the occasional snook. Yellow Dog ambassador and worldwide angling aficionado, South African-born Jako Lukas will be hosting a group on August 5 – 12, 2017 to Plummer’s Great Bear Lake Lodge with a fly out to the Tree River Outpost located in the Northwest Territories, Canada. Due to the remote nature of the fishery and the short summer season, Great Bear Lake sees only about 300 anglers a year and the Tree River Outpost sees even fewer. In operation for more than 60 years, Plummer’s Great Bear Lake Lodge boasts the all tackle world records for both Lake Trout and Graying, and the Tree River Outpost has the all-class world record arctic char. Spots will fill up fast, so contact shaun [at] yellowdogflyfishing [dot] com (Shaun Lawson) for more information or to reserve your space!

Yellow Dog ambassador, Wil Flack, is hosting a (9) night / (6) fishing day trip to Bolivia’s remote jungles to fish golden dorado. The trip is limited to (8) anglers and there are only a few spots still available. We can tell you that this is the most exotic freshwater trip that Yellow Dog offers in the world of fly fishing. Anglers can expect to sight fish for large dorado, pacu and yatarana in clear freestone rivers while experiencing the virgin jungle with Tsimane tribe. The trip rate is $7,600.00 per person. Over the years, Yellow Dog has hosted an annual trip during the late-September and early October timeframe and we feel that it’s one the prime weeks in the season to find the largest migratory dorado. Please contactjohn [at] yellowdogflyfishing [dot] com ( John Hudgens) for additional information and full details.
