Founder and Director of Operations for Yellow Dog Flyfishing, L.L.C., Jim has worked in the fly fishing industry as a guide, sales rep, travel coordinator, and as National Sales Manager for Scientific Anglers and StreamWorks. He has guided extensively in Montana, Colorado, New Mexico and Oregon, and has fished throughout the world. With a particular love of saltwater flats fishing, Jim spends a lot of time in the Caribbean, hosting groups and working with our network of lodges and guides. Jim is the primary copywriter for the Yellow Dog Flyfishing, L.L.C. catalogs and website.

Ian Davis

Ian has been involved in the fly fishing industry since the early 1990's. Having grown up in the Catskill Mountains, Ian later went on to attend the Art Institute of Chicago where he studied landscape painting. Since then, he has resided in Colorado as owner of Breckenridge Outfitters - a three-time "Orvis Endorsed Outfitter of the Year" fly shop. After leaving Colorado Ian became co-owner of Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures in 2004. He has fished extensively throughout the world in both fresh and saltwater and currently serves as Yellow Dog's Bahamas and New Zealand Program Director.

Robert Boyce

Robert is co-owner of Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures and is the program director for Yellow Dog's Alaska and Kamchatka programs. During the summertime Robert runs the day-to-day operations of Yellow Dog's Montana guide and outfitting operation along with spending most days guiding Bozeman's local rivers. Prior to joining the Yellow Dog team, Robert spent several years guiding the waters of the Bristol Bay region in Alaska as well as fishing throughout the Rocky Mountains. He has fished extensively throughout the world in both fresh and saltwater destinations and looks forward to hosting and arranging trips to established regions as well as new, unfished waters.

Bob Meade

Originally from the Lower Laguna Madre area on the Texas coast, Bob relocated to Bozeman in the fall of 2005 to join Yellow Dog as program manager for the Yucatan, Guatemala and Brazil. Prior to joining the Yellow Dog team, Bob spent two years as the director of U.S. operations for Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca Lodges. Although he has fished many places throughout the world, Bob’s first love will always be sightcasting to redfish.

Originally from Frisco, Colorado, Cale began guiding for Breckenridge Outfitters when he was eighteen years old. After spending a number of years guiding on the Colorado, Blue, William's Fork and South Platte Rivers, Cale relocated to Bozeman, Montana where he now spends his time guiding throughout Southwest Montana and working as part of the Yellow Dog Team. He currently spends several months a year fishing and traveling throughout Argentina and Chile. He has fished in Belize, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand and throughout the United States.

John Dobson

John has been involved in the fly fishing industry - as a guide, fly shop owner, outfitter and sales rep - for over 15 years. Few people in the fly fishing industry have fished as many places as John has! He has spent time guiding and fishing the waters of Chile, Wyoming, Colorado, Alaska, New Zealand, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Argentina and British Columbia. He spent six years as the founder and owner of Medicine Bow Drifters, a Saratoga, Wyoming-based fly shop and currently splits his time between Yellow Dog and his work as a sales rep for Scott Fly Rods.
