We are proud to be a supporting sponsor of the upcoming 2015 CUDA BOWL. Our friends Captain Justin Rea and wife Loren are putting on a really cool event!  Last years event a total of 4889.25 inches of barracuda were scored and released. The total number or releases noted were 279. That is a lot of Cuda!

This years Cuda Bowl will be held Friday, January 29-31, 2015 in Key West Florida. It should be a great time, and we look forward to hearing about all the highlights! Best of luck to all the competitors!

If you haven’t had the opportunity to hook into a barracuda, put it on your list! Barracuda can be found at most every saltwater destination. It’s a great by-catch while fishing for other saltwater species such as bonefish and permit. It’s also a worthy fish to target! They attach at lightning speeds, charge surface flies, and often time leap into the air and if you’re lucky, tail walk for 40-feet. It’s always an action packed fish and there’s no telling what they will do.

If you have any questions about barracuda angling opportunists or about the 2015 Cuda bowl don’t hesitate to give us a call here at the Yellow Dog headquarters.
