Part three of a three part series
The weather changes, and the warm, wind-free days abruptly disappear. Huge winds arrive and the snow starts to fall as we transfer from Tierra del Fuego to Lago Stroebel and Estancia Laguna Verde. Quite a difference in conditions but a great adventure nonetheless.
The guys made the best of it. There’s a few things of certainty we’ve learned over the years of traveling the globe, one is you can’t control nature. You have no control over the fish or the weather or the tides or the hatches or the wind. But we do have control over how we deal with adverse conditions. Nature is a wonder of beauty. Learn to enjoy all of it. Especially the really shity days, those are ones you remember the most. So we bundled up and headed out to fish. Realizing fishing was futile, we ran back to the lodge and ordered a tall glass of coke and fernet, it was nuts out there. Cheers!
