Fall is here and winter is just around the corner. Anglers are already booking their winter getaways to warm weather destinations like Belize. No matter if you prefer a bunch of non-angling options or want to be on the water dawn till dusk, Belize truly has something for everyone. With such a variety of options that can really cater to individual’s preferences don’t expect that prime availability will be open forever.
As temperatures start to drop heads turn to warmer climes and lodge calendars will fill up quickly. To ensure you reserve the best times and your first choice at dates you should seriously be considering booking your trip sooner rather than later. Be sure to check out some our favorite lodges in Belize.

We’re incredibly excited to be working with Tarpon Sands, our newest lodge offering in Belize. Located in the Drowned Cayes of Belize, the lodge has great access to a fishery full of tarpon, permit, bonefish, barracuda, and jacks. The lodge is simple and comfortable and if you’re traveling in a group, you’ll have the entire island (about an acre in size) all to yourselves. If you’ve ever wanted to sight fish for cruising tarpon over sand flats, then this is the place to do it.

Turneffe Flats is one of our favorite properties for anglers and non-anglers alike. Every angler will love exploring Turneffe Atoll which is the largest atoll in the Caribbean and holds good populations of bonefish, permit, barracuda, snapper, snook, and occasionally tarpon. This is a great lodge for couples offering diving options, and for non-divers, the lodge has developed a full adventure package where guests take a 25-foot twin-engine boat around the atoll exploring the rich marine diversity.
