BRISTOL BAY, ALASKA

 Please take a moment of your time to read and take action. It only takes 2-minutes of your time to do a great thing for Wild Salmon and Wild Places.

This just in: EPA’s final assessment of the potential impacts of large-scale mining development on Bristol Bay fisheries and wildlife and on Alaska Native culture of the region. The assessment clearly shows absolute harm to salmon and fishing jobs from such a large-scale mining operation.

 “JUNEAU, Alaska — A government report indicates a large-scale copper and gold mine in Alaska’s Bristol Bay region could have devastating effects on the world’s largest sockeye salmon fishery and adversely affect Alaska Natives, whose culture is built around salmon.”
