Chile is a country with beautiful diversity. Running 2,880 miles along the western coast of South America, Chile’s landscape varies from stark deserts in the North to lush forests and snowcapped peaks in the South. Since the 1980’s, the country has developed a reputation as one of the world’s premiere freshwater fly fishing destinations. Experiencing all that Chile has to offer in a single week-long trip is cumbersome and near impossible. For that reason, we highly recommend that anglers extend their stay and consider planning a trip that combines more than one location to get more out of their Patagonia experience. Our friends at Magic Waters offer a terrific 11 night/10 day combination package that is perfect for those looking to enjoy the luxuries of a lodge and the solitude and adventure of a remote and off-the-beaten-path basecamp. This trip combines a 7 night/6 day stay at Magic Waters Lodge where guests can enjoy the amenities and conveniences of a fixed lodge and easy access to fishing areas then seamlessly transfer into the Chilean wilderness to explore untouched, pristine and rugged fisheries at the River of Dreams Basecamp for 4 nights/3 days. This trip is an excellent option for anglers and guests looking to experience all that this area has to offer in a single trip!
