These trips are gaining in popularity each year and our outfitter books-up quickly, so if a jungle fly fishing adventure to a remote area of the Amazon sounds intriguing to you, contact Jim Klug at Yellow Dog today to start planning your trip.
The remote nature of the fishing in this area, the exotic wildlife, and the overwhelming beauty of the region all combine to create incredible angling and travel experience that is without a doubt one of the most interesting and unique in the world of destination fly fishing.
Deep in the Santa Cruz region of Bolivia, the Secure, Aguas Negras, Pluma and Itizirama rivers twist and turn through the rugged peaks and jungles.
These four rivers sustain healthy populations of golden dorado, a fish known for its acrobatics and sheer power. Golden dorado is the apex predator in these rivers and roam the waters with a sense of pride. But, they are not the only fish to pursue, yatorana, and pacu—the permit of the jungle—are also available to anglers.
You also don’t have to take our word for the superior fishing and quality of experience at our Bolivian destinations. Here are a few client testimonials from recent trips.
