YDCCF: THE BASICS
Paging through the Yellow Dog 2017 Angling Travel Guide, you’ve likely come across the spread talking about the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation. Look for the “YDCCF Supporter” logo in this catalog and on the Yellow Dog website to identify the lodges and operations that are participating in the Foundation’s “Matching Funds” program. When you book a participating lodge or outfitter through Yellow Dog, they will match Yellow Dog’s contribution for every trip.
The Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation was created to directly support priority conservation needs, community projects, and educational efforts in important angling communities around the world. As a company, we are where we work, and the Foundation is Yellow Dog’s way of making a direct and positive impact in the places we fish. From large-scale protection efforts to local, grass-roots undertakings, the Foundation has a direct and positive impact on the destinations, fisheries and communities that so many anglers visit and care about.
Making a Difference With Your Next Fishing Adventure!
With most trips booked through Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, a portion of the trip cost will be donated directly to the Foundation in your name. With participating lodges, this contribution will be matched, resulting in a modest yet meaningful monetary gift for each trip booked. There is never an additional cost added to a trip or invoice in order to support this project! You can enjoy the world’s best fishing AND Yellow Dog’s legendary customer service and support while at the same time making a difference in the communities and areas that you visit and fish.
In the locations where Yellow Dog operates, these donations make a significant and immediate difference. Foundation grants may support the purchase of laptop computers for a guide-community grade school on Andros Island, the enforcement and monitoring of catch-and-release practices on the flats of Belize, efforts to protect angler access throughout the US West, and numerous other projects and efforts. Because we already operate in so many great fishing destinations, the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation is able to support the important work that positively impacts fishing around the world. And, as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, anglers, individuals and businesses can also directly donate to the Foundation: a great way to truly make even more of a difference.
We invite you to join Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures and the Foundation in supporting the communities and destinations that matter to anglers. Book your trip with Yellow Dog, go fishing, and make a difference.
Working to enhance communities, build partnerships and support conservation in places where great fishing is found.
