Access to the Most Wild & Remote Fisheries in Chile
Operating at the southernmost tip of Chile, Lakutaia Lodge is a one-of-a-kind, heli-fishing operation located on Navarino Island – a wild, remote and undeveloped wilderness area in the UNESCO Cape Horn Biosphere. Utilizing safe and reliable helicopters, Lakutaia provides anglers with access to some of the most remote and unreachable lakes and river in all of South America, with abundant wade fishing opportunities for browns, brook trout, and rainbows, as well as the occasional sea-run brown trout. In many respects, Navarino Island can be considered one of the last of the great unexplored freshwater trout fisheries on the planet. With one of the best locations on the island, Lakutaia Lodge is located on the outskirts of Puerto Williams – the world’s southernmost town – directly overlooking the Beagle Channel and the rugged terrain of Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego.
Lakutaia is a beautifully built lodge with giant picture windows overlooking the Beagle Channel. The lodge has 24 spacious double occupancy rooms with private bathrooms.

When staying with Lakutaia Lodge, anglers will be fishing the southernmost rivers of Chilean Patagonia. These crystal-clear rivers hold brook, brown and rainbow trout and the occasional sea-run brown trout. Anglers will mostly utilize floating lines with both dry and wet flies. The lodge uses a fleet of safe helicopters to transport anglers across unforgiving terrain to remote fisheries. It’s a rarity to ever see another angler on the river except for the ones in your group. Enjoy fishing some of the world’s most remote fisheries all to yourself. Each helicopter will have 2 to 3 anglers assigned to it, plus a guide.
