General Information
Pursuing Atlantic Salmon is the name of the game of Ledges. Enjoy riverside accommodations while chasing big fish on the Miramichi River. The Miramichi boasts one of the largest salmon runs in the world with close to 100,000 returning fish each year. A great fishery for both experienced and first-time Atlantic anglers!

The fishing day at Ledges is a split session. Anglers fish in the morning, come back to the lodge for lunch and a siesta and then head out in the afternoon for an evening session.

Spring Season (April 15 to early-mid May)

Spring Salmon are fish that have entered the river the previous year, spawned in the fall, remained in the river throughout the winter, and are now returning downstream and back out to sea. After a long New Brunswick winter, the fish are very hungry and fishermen can enjoy great success. In late spring the best fighters will be found as new fish start to enter the river. May and June on The Miramichi River also offer a good run of sea-run brook trout.

Summer & Fall (Mid May to October 15)

During the summer and fall months, the majority of fishing is done by wading. Fishermen at this time of year will also often combine a number of fly patterns, both wet and dry. Summer and fall salmon runs have proven to be an exciting and rewarding experience as these fish are arriving fresh from the sea brighter, fatter, and stronger!

Boats and Equipment
The lodge utilizes 26’ Sharp and Lennon canoes with 15 hp motors on them. The majority of the fishing is wading unless the angler can’t wade in which case the boats will be used. 9 weight rods are the primary rod of choice.
