Travel With a Great Group and a Host That Really Knows the Area
Every year we offer a number of customized, handpicked trips that are personally organized, lead and hosted by different members of the Yellow Dog team. This is a great way to enjoy a fantastic week of fishing with a fun group of fellow anglers as well as someone who really knows the area, the guides, the fishing, and the overall operation. New hosted dates are being added and posted on this site throughout the year, so be sure to check back on a regular basis!
"I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my recent hosted trip with Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures. I've only been destination fishing twice before, but fishing with Yellow Dog has taken it to a new level. The attention to detail and the amount of information produced by Yellow Dog was incredible. There really were no unexpected surprises at all ... which is a good thing. The next time I do this, Yellow Dog will be my first phone call. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of this trip. Thanks also for everything you added to the trip by hosting. I learned a ton and enjoyed every aspect of the week!"
- Scott C. (Billings, Montana)

Join Jako Lucas for a hosted trip aboard the Avalon II mothership in Jardines de la Reina, Cuba. Anglers traveling with Jako will be able to draw from the vast amount of knowledge from one of fly fishing's industry influencers. Jardines de la Reina is an archipelago off the coast of southern Cuba that is a marine protected park and approximately the same size as the Florida Keys. Jardines de la Reina receives limited fishing pressure and provides guests with shots at tarpon, permit and bonefish, among other species. As of recently, Yellow Dog Flyfishing has updated their travel logistics to Jardines de la Reina to significantly cut down on travel time. Instead of having to fly into Havana, anglers will now be able to fly into Camaguey, Cuba. The total cost per person for the trip is $8,560 (based on double occupancy). Please contact kristen [at] yellowdogflyfishing [dot] com (Kristen Tripp) for more details.
Dan "Rooster" Leavens will be hosting a group of anglers in Jardines de la Reina in May of 2018 for some world class saltwater fishing during prime tarpon migration season. Jardines de la Reina is an archipelago located off the southern coast of Cuba about the size of the Florida Keys. Anglers will stay on a liveaboard houseboat where each morning, anglers are met by guides and skiff to head out for the day. Yellow Dog has recently updated the Cuba travel logistics for Jardines de la Reina, sending anglers through Camaguey, Cuba, dubbed the City of Churches. This drastically cuts down on the amount of travel time for anglers in JDR to only a few hours of transfer time (versus the 8 hour ride of previous years). The cost for the trip is $6,300 per person (based on double occupancy). Please contact kristen [at] yellowdogflyfishing [dot] com (Kristen Tripp) for more details.
Join Yellow Dog Flyfishing Authorized Representative and Partner - Tucker Ladd of Trouts Fly Fishing (Colorado), on a hosted trip to Cayo Largo, Cuba for a week of fishing for bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook and other marine species. After a successful visit to Cayo Largo in 2017, Tucker jumped at the chance to book a prime week in 2018 before they were gone. With accommodations at Villa Marinera (located a short walk from the marina), this should make for a relaxed and fun week with an expert of all things fishing, both salt and freshwater. Cayo Largo offers some of the best guides in Cuba in a terrific fishery that has been dubbed the ‘permit capital of Cuba’. Trip cost is $7,210.00 per person (based on double occupancy fishing). Contact kristen [at] yellowdogflyfishing [dot] com (Kristen Tripp) for more details.
Join Wil Flack on a hosted trip to Cayo Romano and Cayo Cruz located on the north shore of the eastern province of Camaguey. Wil has previous experience fishing in the Cayo Romano / Cayo Cruz fisheries and, with his expertise as a saltwater angler and guide, will be able to provide insight and entertainment for the week. Accommodations for the week will be in a newly finished hotel and resort located a very short transfer to the skiffs each day. Limited angling pressure, combined with excellent areas for bonefish and permit, as well as ideal tarpon habitat make this destination a terrific option for fishing in Cuba. Trip cost is $5,700 per person (based on double occupancy). Please contact kristen [at] yellowdogflyfishing [dot] com (Kristen Tripp) for more details.
