Turneffe Flats offers one of the most diverse fisheries in the Atlantic. I have selected prime fall dates for this November 2020 and would love to have you join! We will have a rising tide each morning, ideal for permit and bonefish and will coming right off the new moon, leading up to the first quarter; another major advantage for flats fishing. Our group will be staying in the beachfront cabanas at Turneffe Flats and fishing with top guides picked out by the team at Yellow Dog. The guides fish from 16-ft Dolphin Super skiffs. The lodge does have a great fleet of rental equipment from the top of the line rod manufacturers and Hatch reels.
Bonefish are the most accessible species but anglers can also target permit, tarpon, and snook. Turneffe is known for its exceptional wade fishing over sand and corral flats for bonefish, triggerfish, and the ultimate challenge of permit.

Arrival and Departure Details / Times
Turneffe Flats is accessed only twice a week via a private transfer boat, so it is very important that you arrive into Belize City (BZE) in time to catch the boat out to the Atoll on your arrival day. Plan on arriving NO LATER than 3 p.m. If you arrive later than that, you will have to overnight in Belize City at the Radisson Fort George Hotel, and then take the guide and staff boat out to the island early Sunday morning.
On your departure day from Turneffe, you will not want to schedule a flight out of Belize City before 11:30 a.m., as there is no guarantee that you will be back at the airport before 10 a.m. that morning (the transfer boat typically leaves the lodge at 7:30 a.m. and arrives at the dock in Belize City at approximately 9 to 9:30 a.m.).
All U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of trip dates. Citizens of the U.S., the British Commonwealth, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, and the European Community are NOT required to have Visas.
