Founded in 2000, Yellow Dog currently works with and represents over 245 different lodges in more than 33 countries. The company was founded by Jim Klug, who began work on the infrastructure and creation of the company in the late 1990s before officially launching Yellow Dog in 2000. In 2005, Ian Davis left Breckenridge Outfitters and relocated to Bozeman, joining Klug as co-owner. Today, Yellow Dog is the largest and most influential fly fishing travel provider in the industry – still based in Bozeman, Montana, with a fantastic team of 27 full-time employees working out of the Yellow Dog travel headquarters.

We listen to your or your group's individual needs and make relevant recommendations based on firsthand, on-the-ground experience. We then assist you in your travel booking process from A-to-Z: incredibly detailed pre-trip planning materials, flights, travel insurance, and more so all you have to do is show up and focus on fishing!

Zero Extra Cost

Booking your next fishing adventure with Yellow Dog will always cost the same amount or less than booking your trip direct. We earn commissions from referrals sent to our lodge partners. But unlike other agencies or fishing travel programs, we never sell a trip based on contracts or exclusives that we have set up with lodges, or beds we’re obligated to fill (because we’re not). At Yellow Dog, we like to say we don't care where you go, as long as it's the right destination for you.

In today's age, we feel strongly that business and conservation initiatives must go hand-in-hand in our industry. It's simply not enough to utilize so many fantastic resources worldwide without giving back to the communities and fisheries we all know and love. Through our non-profit organization, the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation, we're currently the only fishing travel entity in the world that can - and will - give back with every single trip booked.
