Lodging Details
The Boulder River Outpost is located up the Boulder River Drainage outside of Big Timber, Montana. With cornhole, horseshoes, firepit, and hammocks for lounging around, its tranquil setting is the ideal spot to unplug in immerse yourself in the Montana countryside. There are two buildings on the property to accommodate guests. The main cabin is where guests enjoy meals. It has a living room, dining area, large deck, as well as two bedrooms and a shared full bath (not in suite). The “bunkhouse” cabin has a common area with a wet bar, three rooms, and one full bath. Groups not maxing out the capacity of the lodge can opt for exclusivity for an additional charge.

Food & Beverages
Breakfasts and dinners are served at the Outpost while lunches are on the river. Lunches are picnic style lunches that go in the guide coolers. Breakfasts vary by the day and include made-to-order options or daily specials. There is always some variety at breakfast and some healthy options. Appetizers are available soon after guests come back from fishing and then a multi-course plated dinner is served in the large dining room with windows that overlook the valley. All dietary restrictions and food allergies are accommodated for.

Non-Angling Activities and Options
Due to the remoteness of the location, there are not many non-angling activities close by. The best non-angling options are hikes in the nearby National Forest. That said, this is an angling destination that is best suited for focused anglers.

Internet / Communications
There is no cell phone service on the property. However, there is a landline for emergencies, as well as wireless internet.
