ROYAL TARPON IN THE YUCATAN!
Our good friend Alejandro Hernandez - the owner of Campeche Tarpon and Yellow Dogâs long-time outfitter in the region - sent us a great report on guiding Prince Charles.Apparently, the royal was in Campeche to tour the regionâs mangrove wilderness and marine eco-system. Alejandro and his guides from Campeche Tarpon were asked to handle the logistics and guiding duties for the Prince and his entourage earlier this week.
No word on whether or not the Prince picked up a fly rod and stuck any of Campecheâs baby tarpon! Fishing in a double-breasted tan suit complete with tie and pocket-handkerchief would have made for a killer photo op holding a Yucatan tarpon!
