Founded in 1980 by John Simms, a fishing guide from Jackson, Wyoming, Simms Fishing Products set out to create higher-performing gear for serious anglers. In 1993, K.C. Walsh purchased the company and moved its headquarters to Bozeman, Montana, where Simms remains today. Simms was the first U.S. company to introduce breathable GORE-TEX® waders, setting a new industry standard.
