Magic Waters Lodge is situated in a beautiful mountain valley surrounded by glacier-studded peaks overlooking a lush forest within the Asyen region of Chilean Patagonia. The Lodge’s carefully-selected location is within easy reach of the coastal rainforests and the arid eastern Patagonian steppe, which provide guests with an incredible opportunity to experience a diverse cross-section of the area’s amazing natural beauty and pristine trout waters. With a wide variety of public and private fishing accesses, including intimate walk and wade freestone rivers and spring creeks, large floatable rivers, and productive still-waters, Magic Waters Lodge has great appeal to just about every type of trout angler.

Lodging Details
The beautiful wood and river stone lodge was designed by the owner and head guide Eduardo Barrueto. Built with comfort in mind, the lodge features a large, two-level living room and lounge complete with a stone-hearth fireplace that provides a perfect place to relax and take in the incredible Patagonian landscape after a long day on the water. The lodge accommodates up to 12 anglers in comfortable double-occupancy rooms, each with a private bath.

Food and Beverages
Meals served at Magic Waters are based on authentic Chilean cuisine. The dishes are comprised of organic meats and produce, and almost all the ingredients are prepared in a true farm-to-table style. Fresh beef, lamb, seafood, and vegetables are served regularly. Each dinner is paired with carefully selected local Chilean wines.

Typical Length of Stay
The typical length of stay at Magic Waters is seven (7) nights and six (6) days. Trips of any length can be arranged, so be sure to contact Yellow Dog for details. Stays at Magic Waters Lodge can be easily combined with their sister program, River of Dreams Basecamp.

Non-Angling Activities and Options
A number of non-angling activities can be arranged, including horseback riding, trekking to glaciers, rafting, kayaking, sightseeing, hot springs, Coyhaique town tours, and cooking classes.
