We’re pleased to announce dates for our 2026 “Belize Bluegrass” event at El Pescador Lodge on Ambergris Caye - a one-of-a-kind “fishing/beach/live bluegrass” vacation and trip package! This five-night, four-day all-inclusive package at El Pescador Lodge is ideal for couples, fishing friends, and anyone who appreciates incredible bluegrass music in a gorgeous topical locale.

WHEN: November 17-22, 2026 (5 nights / 4 days)
WHO: An ideal couple’s trip, with space limited to a total of 60 people (30 couples) plus the musicians. This bluegrass gathering will have exclusive use of the entire El Pescador property.
2026 RATES:
Option #1: Classic Lodge Room
Each of the fourteen main lodge guest rooms lookout to the sea and are just steps away from the lodge swimming pool, bar, and main beach. All rooms feature private bathrooms, overhead fans, two queen beds, and air conditioning.
Rate: $6,495 per couple
Option #2: Private Villa Room
These are ideal for three couples wanting to stay together in what is essentially a private house. Each two story, three-bedroom, three-bath villa overlooks the beach and features a full kitchen, common living room and social areas, air conditioning, and large outdoor decks. Again – villas are perfect for groups of three couples that are interested in being in the same complex.
Rate: $7,830 per couple (Best for groups or friends)
Fly Fishing Rates: $725 per day / per boat (total for one or two anglers)
Bluegrass Performances
THE MUSIC: For 2026, we’ve once again lined up six incredible musicians – bluegrass legends, Grammy winners, and industry icons – who will collectively headline the gathering. Each evening will feature an exclusive and intimate live musical offering and concert, and the private setting at El Pescador Lodge very much gives attendees the feeling of being “backstage” at a show.
Woody Platt is a Grammy Award-winning bluegrass singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best known as a founding member of the Steep Canyon Rangers. With his unmistakable voice and masterful songwriting, Platt has helped shape the sound of modern bluegrass.
Shannon Whitworth is a celebrated singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who first gained national recognition as a member of The Biscuit Burners. Her soulful voice and roots-driven sound have made her one of the most compelling artists in acoustic music.
Larry & Jenny Keel are one of bluegrass music’s most dynamic husband-and-wife duos, known for high-energy performances that blend traditional bluegrass with folk, rock, and jam influences. Larry’s virtuosic guitar work pairs perfectly with Jenny’s driving bass and harmonies.
Buddy Melton is an award-winning fiddle player and vocalist and a founding member of the acclaimed bluegrass band Balsam Range. Known for his powerful voice and electrifying performances, Melton is widely regarded as one of bluegrass music’s finest entertainers.
Barry Bales is one of the most respected bass players in bluegrass music and a longtime member of Alison Krauss & Union Station. A Grammy-winning musician and acclaimed producer, Bales is known for his rock-solid rhythm, tasteful playing, and decades of influence across the bluegrass and Americana world.
Daren Shumaker is a standout mandolin player who has performed and recorded with artists such as Chris Stapleton, Del McCoury, Sam Bush, and many others. His inventive style and dynamic playing have made him a sought-after musician across the bluegrass and Americana world.
Bennett Sullivan is an exceptional banjo player who has toured and recorded with artists including Balsam Range, Willie Nelson, and Steve Martin. His crisp picking and high-energy performances bring a modern edge to traditional bluegrass.
Casey Driessen is a world-renowned fiddle player and musical innovator who has collaborated with artists such as Béla Fleck, Tim O’Brien, and Steve Earle. Known for his high-energy style and creative approach to acoustic music, Driessen brings an exciting and contemporary edge to the stage.
