Corn-Fed Caddis - Tan
In Stock • Bozeman, MT
Description
The Corn-Fed Caddis is a modern dry fly that has quickly become a favorite among technical trout anglers. This is one of our Favorite Mother's Day Caddis Flies, but let's be honest, its one of the best modern caddis flies out there. Impeccable floatation and as buggy as it gets--fish this fly with confidence.
From Umpqua:
"This CDC dry is aptly named. It is a beefy, high floater fit for any type of Caddis water which is just about everywhere. It utilizes the incredible floatation and underrated fish catching abilities of CDC. Most CDC patterns are rather sparse and delicate, but the Corn-fed is dressed with a HEAVY CDC wing, additional CDC as hackle, and stacked with a hydrophobic poly yarn over wing for additional floatation. For CDC flies, this caddis is a linebacker in a ballet class. Lance's fly has been proven, time and again, to be deadly on either spring creeks or over pocket water pushovers"
