R. All were absolutely outstanding.
Q. Do you have any comments or constructive feedback based on the service, friendliness, etc of the lodge staff?
R. Everybody was awesome.
Q. Did the food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) match what you were expecting? If not, please provide additional comments or constructive feedback.
R. Beyond our expectations. Chefs Jason Brown and Luke rule the kitchen.
Q. Were you pleased with your guide(s) customer service, communication skills, professionalism, work ethic, and general fishing knowledge? If not, please share why.
R. Absolutely. These guides love what they do and their enthusiasm is contagious.
Q. What key pieces of gear or flies made your trip successful?
R. Korkers boots with flexibility to have rubber treads and aluminum bars as both hiking and wading options.
Q. What piece(s) of equipment would not leave home without for this trip , or your next, with Yellow Dog?
R. Rain gear, sunscreen, 100% Deet.
Q. Would you return to this lodge destination? Please share why or why not.
R. Absolutely! This lodge has so many fly out options that you could return multiple times and never fish the same water twice.
Q. How would you briefly summarize your overall trip experience?
R. 58* North knocks it out of the park! The lodge was recently finished in 2022 and nothing in Alaska currently compares. The chefs, accommodations, guide expertise, extensive flexible flight fishing options (essentially 100+ mile radius of countless streams, lakes and Brooks Falls is a must). They have gear for both novice and expert anglers including fly-fishing single, double handed rods and spin fishing gear for non fly-fishing anglers.
