Located approximately thirty minutes via float plane from Ketchikan, Alaska's Boardwalk Lodge sits on the Northeast corner of Prince of Whales Island and Alaska's famous Inside Passage. With this location, Boardwalk Lodge has access to one of Alaska's most diverse fisheries in the entire state – including world-class scenarios for numerous freshwater and saltwater species. This is incredibly unique for any fishing program in Alaska, and Boardwalk utilizes its years of experience operating in the area to tailor to a variety of different anglers and their preferences. The well-appointed lodge caters well to all travelers, including hardcore anglers, couples, and families looking to experience the diversity and adventure of the Tongass National Forest and SE Alaska.
The lodge offers freshwater and saltwater fishing options, including both fly and conventional fishing techniques, and plenty of options to choose from daily. Each evening, anglers can select the fishing scenarios they want to experience during their stay. Options for freshwater fly fishing include wild spring steelhead, cutthroat, chum, pink and silver salmon, along with dolly varden in rivers, lakes, and streams. Anglers also have the option to add on some saltwater fishing opportunities for species like halibut, rockfish, lingcod, and all five species of Pacific salmon. Boardwalk Lodge is truly in a league of its own regarding the diversity of species and fishing scenarios available during your stay.
