Client Mark shares his recent adventures from Pesca Maya: “Our first four days weather was tough; wind from east southeast hard 25+ mph. Boca Paila Lagoon never emptied with tides… high and very chocolate color every day. But we still managed to get ‘em; not giants, but bones, snook, tarpon, barracuda and jacks.
Henry and Julian were a great team and my son Perry was casting like Lefty K. Wind calmed down to 12 to 15 mph on last two days and we made the passage down to Casa Blanca area, finding bigger bones, lots of tarpon, and a good-sized snook.
Not to mention on last day the kid let his Dad get his second Grand Slam of his life… yes, maybe the first Slam of 2016 on Jan 1st. I hooked my tarpon in this one hole we had to macheted into and when I hooked it, it spooked the others and another jumped into the back of the Panga with Perry and Henry!
We spent Perry’s birthday after fishing in Punta Allen for the night at the Fisherman’s Lodge and had a blast. Can’t say enough about Henry and Julian; they were a great fit for us, and they worked hard even though we were having so much fun with the music and the beer. These few pictures will tell the story. Thanks for the hook up once again… We love Yellow Dog.”
