Lodging Details
The Estancia de los Rios lodge is a comfortable timber lodge tucked away on a massive 360,000-acre private ranch close to the Argentine-Chile border with beautiful views of the surrounding valley. The lodge consists of six double-occupancy rooms each with a private bathroom, ample and comfortable mudroom, dining room, lounge area, and fly tying room. There is also a cottage for 4 guests used to overnight when fishing a distant spring creek and a mountain camp to overnight when fishing high mountain lakes.
Food and Beverages
The lodge staff prepares local Chilean cuisine consisting of locally sourced meats, fish and produce paired with select Chilean wines and beer. Hearty breakfasts are served before heading out to fish for the day. During the fishing day, hot and cold lunches are prepared and served by your guide. After fishing, appetizers and traditional Pisco Sours and Chilean wines are served at cocktail hour followed by hearty multi-course dinners.
Typical Length of Stay
Standard length packages are seven (7) nights / six (6) days (Saturday-Saturday).
Non-Angling Activities and Options
For the non-angler, or those simply wanting to take a rest from fishing, there are numerous activities available including a variety of walks and hikes from the lodge, including the rainforest and Queulat glacier, horseback rides to remote corners of the ranch as well as bird watching and photo tours.
Internet / Communications
Starlink satellite Wi-Fi is available at the lodge and spotty cell service throughout the ranch, which works with most US carriers. Check with your mobile service provider for coverage areas and special fees. Chilean local carrier at the lodge is “Entel."
