The new film chronicles the first trip back to Providence Atoll since the waters were closed to all fishermen and boat access in 2010 due to the threats and activities of pirates operating out of Somalia. The team returned in October of 2015, spending three weeks exploring the atoll and fishing for multiple flats species including giant trevally, bluefin trevally, bumphead parrotfish, bonefish, Indo-Pacific permit, triggerfish, milkfish and more.
An amazing story of adventure, piracy, challenging fish, the history of the area and untouched flats. Our friends at Le Mouching just reviewed a sneak peek of the film. To quote, "What I saw was sick! I called my friends to tell them what I just witnessed, saltwater fly fishing films just got another dimension! Everything is unbelievable, the story: after six years of no fishing in the far islands of the Seychelles, the crew from Confluence films get to the atoll of Providence in places that have NEVER been fished before."
