General Information
Twin Bridges is a small ranching community surrounded by some of the finest trout water in the Rockies. This area is known by many as the epicenter of the greatest trout fishing in Montana. Four Rivers has access to roughly 300+ miles of world-class trout waters, something that allows the guides and clients to spread out and fish uncrowded and productive waters.

The location of Four Rivers is key, as the operation is located in one of Montana’s largest but least populated valleys. The immediate area is home to the Big Hole, Beaverhead, and Ruby River, all flowing north within a half-mile from the shop to form the Jefferson River. There is a good reason that Twin Bridges holds such a special place in the hearts of so many western fly fishermen. With the Madison River forty minutes away, the Beaverhead flowing through town, and the Big Hole a short 3-minute drive from the shop, the biggest challenge on a daily basis is deciding where to fish. Over the course of several days of guided fishing, you could end up going north one day, south the next, then east or west after that.

Boats and Equipment Required
Most fishing in this area is done using a drift boat. At certain times, the shop also utilizes two-man Scadden-style pontoon boats to access waters that are smaller, skinnier, and “off the beaten path.”  Boats are typically used for both fishing and transportation, and many rivers offer great opportunities for anglers that want to get out of the boat and wade. Four Rivers is a fully-stocked, full-service fly shop, featuring many of the top brands in the industry. They are also a full dealer for Twin Bridge-based Winston Fly Rods. All flies, leaders, terminal tackle, and more can be purchased upon arrival at the shop.
