Description
The Dead Ned is a fly-fishing take on the wildly effective Ned rig, designed to imitate crayfish, gobies, sculpins, and other bottom-oriented forage species. Built on a jig-style platform, the fly rides hook point up and maintains excellent bottom contact while reducing snags around rocks and structure. Its compact body is paired with an abundance of rubber legs that create constant movement and subtle pulsing action, even when the fly is sitting still on the bottom.
Originally developed for smallmouth bass, it excels with varied strips and pauses to allow the fly to come alive underwater.
