Trip Overview
The North Fork Crossing Lodge, owned and operated by PRO Outfitters, sits on the bank of the North Fork of the Blackfoot River. They are the only full-service fishing lodge in the famed Blackfoot Valley. Their unique tent cabins are designed for the ultimate comforts of a full-service lodge without losing the intimate connection to nature that camping can provide. Each canvas tent cabin comes equipped with heat, electricity, wood floors, and a private bathhouse with all the amenities of home located a short walk down a lighted path behind the tents. The Blackfoot River boasts large populations of native Westslope cutthroat trout through years of collaborative efforts toward restoration of the Blackfoot River as a fishery that keeps getting better and better. From the lodge, you have access to several other rivers and unlimited walk and wade access to both private and public waters. If you want to test your skill on the mighty Missouri, it is only an hour and a half away.

Each canvas tent cabin comes equipped with heat, electricity, fans, wood floors, and a full private bathhouse with all the amenities of home located a short walk down a lighted path behind the tents. Breakfast and dinner are served in their main lodge building which also has a social seating area with an open self-serve bar with wine and beer. Guests are also free to enjoy themselves around an adjacent fire pit next to a stocked pond.

Fresh, organic, and locally grown herbs and produce complement every entrée. Careful consideration is given to menu planning, and any dietary requests are easy to accommodate.
Non-Angling Activities and Options
While the lodge property does not present non-angling activities, motivated guests can find many outdoor activity opportunities throughout the surrounding area. The town of Missoula is also only an hour away and offers great non-angling options. A trip to Missoula and a visit to the Montana Museum of Art and Culture or the Montana Natural History Center are great for those interested in history and culture. Tours of the many breweries and wineries may interest some, as well as hiking, mountain biking, and river rafting trips. Festivals and fairs are held throughout the seasons, along with farmers’ markets and concerts.
