The Renegade is a classic attractor dry fly pattern that has stood the test of time, originally developed in the 1930s as a dual-purpose dry and wet fly. Tied with a distinctive peacock herl body, dual hackle (brown at the front, grizzly at the rear), and a clean white wing post, this pattern mimics everything from midges and gnats to emerging mayflies. We like the renegade during a midge hatch in the smaller sizes, especially for spooky fish in low water conditions or calm water.
