Description
The Trigger Flexo is a specialized flats fly designed specifically for the tricky business of targeting triggerfish. Built on the proven framework of the classic Flexo Crab, this version is scaled, weighted, and tuned for the wary, sharp-eyed feeders found across the Indian Ocean, Seychelles, and other tropical flats.
Triggers are notorious for one thing: Wrecking flies and bending out hooks. One of our favorite elements of the trigger flexo is the hook is one of the few reliable hooks for withstanding a trigger's jaws.
Because triggerfish are notorious for close inspection, the Trigger Flexo emphasizes realism and subtlety. Its compact size, soft landing, and ability to “sit” naturally on the bottom make it a proven choice for enticing these cautious but aggressive tailing fish. While designed with triggers in mind, the pattern will also tempt species like bonefish and permit in the same habitat.
