A remarkable trip for Stephanie M. to visit our friends in Southeast Ireland at Clonanav Fly Fishing. She writes:
"I’m still on a “natural fishy high” from our trip to fish Ireland, and wanted to be sure to send a very grateful thank you to each of you for helping to make it such a memorable experience!
Steve and I loved every minute of our days fishing with Clonanav Fishing - Andrew took such good care of us, we enjoyed our days with Tommy and Kevin, and the fishing was amazing! From the moment Andrew picked us up from the bus in Clonmel, to each morning once we hit the river we were on fish immediately. Even the weather cooperated, in fact not only were we lucky to have the last 3 days of the season, we managed to sneak in the days before Storm Amy hit and blew out the rivers! Fished the Suir and the Nire - amazing rivers. I’d love to go back!
I’ve attached a few of my favourite photos from the trip - the browns are absolutely stunning, and despite some casting challenges (yes, me!) I managed to find some big bad browns on my line! One that surprised the heck out of me on how large it was - even Tommy struggled to get a single hand grip on it as he netted it. A solid chunky fish!
I can’t say enough about Andrew and his team - what a solid outfit, and I say the same about your team - thank you for all of the time and attention to detail prior to our trip. I appreciated the planning, pre-calls (thanks Sam!), and follow up to my questions, and trip details which all ensured our trip went without a hiccup.
From Clonmel we travelled to Cork, Killarney, back to Dublin for some golf, more Guiness, and sightseeing, then onto Belfast for a the final days and even took in a FIFA World Cup European Qualifier match between Northern Ireland and Slovakia! What a trip... I can’t wait to pick my next trip with Yellow Dog."
