G. Loomis Fly Rods

G. Loomis was established in 1982 in Washington state by passionate angler and machinist‑turned‑designer Gary Loomis, who began creating his own rods after becoming dissatisfied with what was available on the market. Prior to founding his company, he gained valuable experience at Lamiglass overseeing rod blank production and honed his expertise in crafting high-performance blanks. Under his leadership, G. Loomis quickly earned a reputation for advanced, lightweight, and sensitive fly rods that set new industry standards. Gary Loomis eventually sold the company to Shimano, who currently oversees its direction and rod design.

All G.Loomis rods are handcrafted in Woodland, Washington.

G. Loomis rods are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against non-conformities in workmanship and materials for the life of the original owner.
