Hatch reels use a sealed multi-disc drag system designed for smoothness, durability, and power. The stacked disc design spreads braking force across multiple surfaces, which reduces startup inertia, increases stopping power, and dissipates heat during long runs. In the newest Iconic series, Hatch upgraded the system with a carbon-filled drag material that makes it even smoother and more reliable in both fresh and saltwater.

Hatch offers a lifetime warranty, limited to the original owner, on all reels and products while they remain available on the market. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, and Hatch will repair or replace those items at no charge for parts or labor.
