Over the years, Bair’s has established itself as a top high-end operation with excellent fishing for bonefish with occasional shots at tarpon, permit, barracuda, jacks, and several types of snapper. Offshore fishing may be arranged seasonally for wahoo, tuna, and dorado. Bair’s Lodge offers exceptional personalized guest service to small groups of 12 anglers per week. Cuisine includes Bahamian specialties and fresh seafood.

Bair’s Lodge is an attractive plantation-style building surrounded by tropical flowers and palm trees on a sparkling white sandbank. Plush sofas line the airy living and dining areas, along with an indoor bar, satellite television, and fully-stocked fly-tying table for guest use. Telephone and internet service are available in the main office.
Light and airy, with tiled floors, crisp bedding, and luxurious ensuite bathrooms, most guest rooms open directly to a long ocean-view verandah a quick walk from the beach. Convenient rod racks sit beside outdoor showers, with fresh-water hoses to wash down your tackle in the evenings.
Dining
Bair’s Lodge offers a full breakfast buffet: with fresh bread, pastries, and cookies baked each day. Guests choose their lunches each night via menu selection cards. Enjoy an open bar each evening and delicious appetizers served on the veranda. Three-course dinners include local produce, fresh fish, conch, and lobster, followed by Bahamian specialties like chocolate decadence, key lime parfaits, and rum cake with coconut ice cream. Bair’s Lodge chef will cater to any dietary needs upon request.
Typical Length of Stay
Bair’s Lodge can accommodate any length of stay. Standard changeover days are Saturdays and Wednesdays.
Non-Angling Activities and Options
Although Bair’s Lodge is primarily a fishing destination, the hammocks, beach, patio, and grassy area behind the lodge provide relaxing places to spend the day.

How To Get There
There are several options for flying into Congo Town Airport (TZN). Please contact Yellow Dog for ticketing and scheduling assistance. We recommend flying from Nassau with Western Air, which offers two flights a day. For groups of more than six people, we would be happy to arrange a charter flight direct from Fort Lauderdale.
Arrival and Departure Details / Times
Twenty-minute flights from Nassau to Congo Town via Western Air depart daily at 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., and return at 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Reservations can be made with Western Air (or we can make these arrangements for you). A Bair’s Lodge representative will meet you for the short drive from the airport to the lodge.
Documents Required
All U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport that does not expire within six (6) months of trip dates. Please be sure that your passport has at least two blank, unstamped pages remaining in the back, and that it is not torn, delaminated or damaged in any way. No visas or inoculation are required for U.S. citizens.
Minors Traveling Without Both Parents
All children 18 years of age or younger accompanied by only one parent or legal guardian must have a NOTARIZED letter of consent from the other parent stating the child/children have his/her permission to travel. Single parents need NOTARIZED documentation of divorce, or a spousal death certificate. Unaccompanied Minors require a NOTARIZED letter of consent signed by both parents.

Fishing
General Information
Located on South Andros, Bair’s Lodge is surrounded by inland flats, creeks, nights, and mangrove lagoons. Wade for bonefish on vast, hard-bottomed sand flats; or fish cays, shorelines, and creeks from a boat. Friendly, experienced guides certified by the Bahamian Guide Association can customize your fishing day to meet your expectations. Brilliant sand flats and protected inland flats make spotting fish easier, even on windy or cloudy days. Depending on your wishes, a typical day at Bair’s Lodge consists of a morning 15-minute to one-hour boat run to your destination, fishing your way back to the lodge throughout the day.

Boats and Equipment
Anglers fish from 16-foot Dolphin Super Skiffs, complete with poling platforms, 85 HP Yamaha outboards, and spacious casting decks outfitted with angler lean bars. The lodge offers loaner rods free of charge, plus spinning rods and reels for bonefishing or an outing on the reef for barracuda, jacks, or grouper. The shop is stocked with Sage rods, Hatch Reels, Rio lines, backing and tippet, a good selection of flies, sunglasses, and branded clothing.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CANCELLATIONS
A non-refundable deposit of 50% per person is due at the time of booking to hold both space and guides on all Bair’s Lodge packages. For cancellations, all deposits and payments are non-refundable unless a client replacement is found. Because of the lodge’s strict no refund policy, Yellow Dog strongly recommends the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. Bair’s Lodge will not refund payments in the event of a hurricane or poor weather. No refund can be made for unused arrangements or fishing time lost due to inclement weather. If a cancelled package is resold by either the lodge or by Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, then a full refund will be sent minus a $100.00 per person cancellation fee charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing. Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts the deposit, cancellation, refund and responsibility clauses for these packages. Once again, Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures strongly recommends that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance for this trip.
Payment Terms For All Yellow Dog Trip Bookings
In order to lock in your trip reservation, we ask that you please remit payment at the time of receipt of invoice. For your convenience, Yellow Dog accepts on-line payments via a direct and secure ACH platform – a quick and easy way to complete your trip reservation. Note that all Yellow Dog invoices include a live link that takes you directly to the Yellow Dog ACH platform for fast and easy payment. For open and existing invoices with a remaining balance, payment reminders also include this easy link to the ACH page.
Other customary forms of payment that are accepted are checks or wire transfers. If you would like to pay in a different way or have any questions about alternate payment methods, please contact Yellow Dog at (888) 777-5060 or (406) 585-8667. We are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Beginning September 1st, 2020, Yellow Dog will apply a 3% convenience fee for all credit card transactions.
