No. We are happy to review your gear whether you booked through Yellow Dog, directly with a lodge, or through another provider.
Will you tell me what I already have covered?
Absolutely. We are not here to recommend equipment you do not need. We will identify what is suitable for your trip, what may need attention, and what is truly worth adding.
Who reviews my submission?
Your information is reviewed by members of Yellow Dog’s fly shop and destination travel teams who understand the fisheries, lodges, guides, and equipment involved.
How long does the review take?
Most reviews are completed within a day. More complex trips or equipment lists may require additional time.
How far in advance should I submit my Trip Ready Check?
We recommend submitting it at least four to six weeks before departure so there is enough time to order equipment, make exchanges, and practice with any new setup.
Can you help me build an entirely new setup?
Yes. Whether you need one missing item or a complete destination-ready system, we can recommend options based on your needs and budget.
What if I do not know exactly what gear I own?
That is okay. Provide as much information as possible. Photos, product names, rod weights, reel sizes, and fly-line labels can all help our team evaluate your setup.
