The Ka-Cudda is a staff favorite barracuda fly not only for its efficiency with catching 'cudas, but for the pre-rigged wire bite tippet. Shots for barracuda generally happen fast, and unless you have a rod with wire rigged and ready to go, these shots are often lost before you can switch your setup. You can certainly try throwing your standard 16" fluorocarbon leader, but 9.9/10, you're losing that fly in a flash. With the Ka-Cudda, snip off your fly and connect the wire tippet and you are ready to go. Strip the Ka-Cudda like the wind to imitate a fleeing needlefish and wait for it to be crushed.
