"In my belief, one of the most overlooked fly patterns for trout is the scud.Scuds are an ideal food source for fish and are readily available in most streams, rivers, and lakes.
In years past there have not been a whole lot of different scud patterns available. This was the inspiration to create a pattern that even the pickiest fish would inhale.
This pattern utilizes a tungsten bead and jig hook that rides with the hook point up.
Its the perfect and balanced scud pattern for straight line nymphing and euro nymphing and is also equally effective in stillwater.
