Description

The Stealth Switch Pack 9L is built around a single idea: let anglers switch how they carry gear without switching packs. It converts between a left- or right-shoulder sling and a hip pack, so it adapts to how you're fishing that day rather than locking you into one carry style.

Embedded magnets on the front panel and shoulder strap give you a fast spot to park flies, nippers, or hemostats mid-change, while hemo and zinger docks and multiple lash points on the pack and hip belt keep tools and extra gear within reach. Inside, four large stretch compartments handle bulkier items, a net sleeve offers multiple carry options, and an exterior front zippered pocket plus a phone-sized pocket on the shoulder strap cover quick-access essentials. A configurable external water-bottle pocket works for either left- or right-handed access, or for stashing a jacket instead.

Features

•    Sling-to-Hip-Pack Conversion — Wear it over either shoulder as a sling, or convert it to a hip pack for hands- and shoulder-free carry.
•    Integrated Magnets — Embedded on the pack front and shoulder strap to temporarily hold flies, nippers, or hemostats during a fly change.
•    Hemo & Zinger Docks — Built into the shoulder strap and pack face, with multiple lash points on the pack's side and hip belt.
•    Configurable Water-Bottle Pocket — External pocket sets up for left- or right-handed access, or holds a jacket instead.
•    Net Sleeve — Built-in sleeve with multiple carry options for stashing a landing net.
•    Corrosion-Resistant Zippers — Built to hold up to repeated exposure on the water.
•    Fair Trade Certified™ Sewn — Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.

FAQ

Who is this pack for?
The Stealth Switch Pack 9L is built for anglers who want one pack that adapts to how they're fishing that day. It converts between a left- or right-shoulder sling and a hip pack, so it works whether you're wading a tight run where a sling gets in the way of your cast, or moving fast between spots and want the weight off your shoulder entirely. At 9L and 730g empty, it's sized for a focused day kit -- flies, tippet, a water bottle, and a net -- rather than a full-day haul.

How does the sling-to-hip-pack conversion work?
The strap system is built to switch configurations without extra tools or attachments -- wear it as a sling over your left or right shoulder for quick front-to-back rotation while casting, or convert it to a hip pack when you'd rather keep your shoulders completely free. That flexibility is the pack's defining feature, and it's a big part of why anglers pick it over a fixed-format sling or lumbar pack.

How do the integrated magnets work?
Magnets are embedded directly into the pack's front panel and the shoulder strap, giving you a place to temporarily park flies, nippers, or hemostats during a fly change without fumbling for a pocket or a patch. It's a small detail, but it speeds up the moments that matter most -- swapping patterns while fish are actively feeding.

Is this pack waterproof?
Patagonia doesn't market the Stealth Switch Pack as waterproof or submersible -- there's no sealed, submersible-style closure the way there is on packs like Fishpond's Thunderhead Submersible line. The lining has a PU coating, which is standard water resistance for a lining fabric, not full waterproofing.
