Description

The Umpqua Pike Snake is one of those classic predator flies that sits right at the intersection of baitfish imitation and pure trigger pattern, originally designed by Barry Reynolds and built to move water and get eaten. It is a long, hackle-based fly, usually around five to six inches, tied on a large 3/0 hook with a flowing tail of saddle hackles and a dense collar that forces those feathers to pulse and swim on the retrieve. This is also a KILLER tarpon fly for dirty water situations.
