When big trout are keyed in on juvenile fish, the Skiddish Smolt is on the menu. This is an especially good pattern during smolt migrations, but it also performs as a general baitfish imitation throughout the season. It has a slender profile when wet and a bright red underbody like that of a somewhat transparent trout fry. Strip it erratically like a paranoid baitfish, or swing it on your trout spey setup.
