Bug locker

As someone who ties most every fly I fish, I want them well contained and in good condition when I go to fish. Conventional fly boxes crush my weed guards down and it drives me nuts, so I switched to a bug locker and haven't looked back. I have both dedicated permit and tarpon bug lockers. They're not only far cheaper than other boxes, but also a lot less bulky so they are easy to pack in a carry-on. Just make sure you keep your fished flies separate and wash them off each day -- the biggest downside is the lack of a foam patch on the exterior.
