The CrossCurrent GTX Stockingfoot Wader is built for anglers who need one wader that moves seamlessly between changing environments, seasons, and conditions. Its distinct drop-top design delivers full chest-high protection when coverage matters, then converts quickly to a waist-high configuration for shallow wades or when temperatures rise. It's built with a lightweight 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric in the upper that delivers waterproof, breathable protection with reduced bulk, and fortified with 4-layer GORE-TEX® Pro fabric from the waist down to reinforce high-wear zones. Size Guide
Sitka sizes the CrossCurrent GTX by waist and inseam, with Short and Tall inseam options built into the larger sizes, plus an independently selected Stockingfoot Size.
1. Measure your waist where you normally wear your pants, keeping the tape a bit loose.
2. Standing up, measure your inseam from crotch to where you want the wader leg to break at the top of the shoe.
3. Note your regular street shoe size.
4. Match your waist and inseam to the closest row in the Sizing Guide below.

What is the 4-layer GORE-TEX Pro lower and 3-layer GORE-TEX upper?
The CrossCurrent GTX splits its fabric weight by zone: the legs use 4-layer GORE-TEX Pro for added resistance against streamside brush and rocky wading approaches, while the upper steps down to 3-layer GORE-TEX for better breathability where abrasion risk is lower. Both layers are fully waterproof and windproof.
How does the convertible drop-top suspension system work?
The upper slides down to convert the wader from chest-high to waist-high wear. The front reattaches using Sitka's hook-and-loop system, with a metal hook indexing onto elastic loops sewn to the shoulder strap. The back uses a different approach -- a series of magnets that reattach the rear yoke to the back of the wader without needing to reach behind you.
