The Echo Traverse is COMPETITIVE in price. Half the price of the Orvis counterpart- the Clearwater.
The 5wt rod that can throw dries, hopper droppers, and small streamers well. It will only perform with heavier applications such as large streamers for intermediate or more advanced casters. They have a 5 year warranty which is perfect. Why? After you've fished consistently for 5 years you learn to avoid the boat dogs, car doors, and spouses. My hot take- Every Echo rod I've thrown handles well, so it shouldn't be overlooked as a super budget guide rod if you're in a pinch!
