Description
A fly designed with Ascension Bay, Mexico in mind, but works well beyond. The Ascension Bay Mantis works well on both bonefish and permit throughout the Caribbean. The fly's body is tied with an EP wooly brush, a combination of synthetic EP fibers and small rubber legs that give the fly a ton of natural movement. Additionally, a bit of orange EP streamer brush is tied near the hook bend to simulate a spawning shrimp. This particular version is a killer over sandy bottom, and is a great go-to for permit in the larger size.
