Fish Partner’s Long Valley Lodge is a remote and exclusive outpost tucked into located in Langidalur (Long Valley), offering anglers unmatched access to some of the country’s most pristine and productive waters. From intimate Northern Highland’s rivers filled with native brown trout and Arctic char to nearby rivers where hard-fighting Atlantic salmon return each summer, this lodge combines world-class fishing diversity with the comfort and charm of a well-appointed mountain retreat. Whether you’re stalking trout in gin-clear pools or swinging flies for fresh salmon, Long Valley Lodge is your base for a true Icelandic wilderness adventure.

Lodging Details 
Long Valley Lodge is a newly built, full-service facility situated in Iceland’s remote highlands. The lodge features 12 double en-suite rooms, offering comfortable accommodations for up to 24 guests. Guests can unwind on the spacious deck, enjoy the hot tub and sauna, and savor international cuisine prepared by the in-house chef. The lodge provides a perfect blend of comfort and seclusion, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding rivers 

Food and Beverages 
Guests are treated to full board accommodations, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The lodge's culinary offerings feature a variety of international dishes, complemented by local Icelandic flavors. A selection of beverages, including wine and beer, is available to enhance the dining experience. 

Typical Length of Stay 
Standard packages range from 5 to 7 nights, with 4 to 6 full days of guided fishing. Customized trip lengths are available upon request. 

Non-Angling Activities and Options 
While the lodge primarily caters to anglers, non-fishing guests can enjoy multiple touring and sightseeing options that are available. 

Internet / Communications 
Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge, allowing guests to stay connected during their stay.

How to Get There
Guests fly into Keflavík International Airport (KEF) and transfer to Reykjavík. From there, Fish Partner provides ground transportation to Long Valley Lodge, located in the northern highlands. The journey offers scenic views of Iceland's diverse landscapes.

Arrival and Departure Details / Times
Arrival transfers to Long Valley Lodge operate on a set schedule, with pick-up at 10:00 AM sharp from Keflavík International Airport and 11:00 AM from accommodations in Reykjavík. The ground transfer takes approximately 3.5 hours to and from the lodge. On departure day, transfers leave Long Valley Lodge at 2:30 PM and arrive back at the airport around 6:00 PM, allowing adequate time for check-in and departure procedures.

This schedule is very important to keep in mind when booking flights. If a custom transfer is required outside of these set times, please note that it is not included in the fishing package, and the additional cost will be added to your lodge bill.

Documents Required
Valid passport (with at least 3 months validity). No visa required for most travelers visiting Iceland for under 90 days.

General Information
Long Valley Lodge provides access to an exceptional variety of fishing opportunities within the Blanda River system and its tributaries. Anglers can pursue Atlantic salmon, brown trout, Arctic char, and sea trout across diverse environments—from the powerful currents of the Blanda River to the clear, tranquil waters of the Svartá River. The lodge offers both traditional and adventurous fishing experiences, including options for float trips down remote canyon sections of the river. Additionally, casting instruction is available from world-renowned fly-casting instructor Glenda Powell, enhancing the experience for anglers of all skill levels.

Equipment
Fish Partner offers high-quality fly fishing equipment rentals for guests at Long Valley Lodge. The rental fee is $80 USD per day per person, with an additional breakage fee of $80. 

This service is ideal for travelers who prefer not to transport their own gear or for those new to fly fishing.

Remember that Yellow Dog’s services are completely free! When you book a trip with Yellow Dog, you never pay more than when you book directly with the lodge or outfitter.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CANCELLATIONS
For all Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. (YDFA) itineraries booked with Fish Partner, both deposits and final payments are non-refundable. If a canceled package is resold by either the outfitter/operator or by Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures for the exact same itinerary, then a full refund will be sent minus a $100.00 per person cancellation fee charged by Yellow Dog. In the case of cancellation by the client, both deposit and final payment may be transferred to another guest or angler for those same (original) dates if facilitated and arranged by the client. For all reservations booked over a year in advance, the rates and dates indicated for the reservation are based on the current calendar year season and schedule, and final prices are subject to change for the following season. Once dates and rates are confirmed for the following season, a 50% deposit will at the time of booking to lock in the reservation. Please note the final 50% payments are due no later than 90 days prior to the start of your trip. Full deposits and final payments are non-refundable unless a client is replaced. Because of the operator’s no refund and no credit policy, we highly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. In no event will the operator or Yellow Dog be responsible for any cancellation of services or operations due to inclement weather, any event of force majeure, airline delays, missed travel connections, or any other reason beyond the control of the operator. If your flights are late and connections are missed, the operator is not responsible for alternative travel arrangements including flights, hotels, meals and any other expenses incurred. Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts the deposit, cancellation, refund and responsibility clauses for these packages. Once again, Yellow Dog strongly recommends that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance these Iceland packages

Payment Terms for All Yellow Dog Trip Bookings  
Unless otherwise noted on your invoice, for all trips less than 90 days out, full payment is required after receipt of the confirmation email to secure guides and reservations. For trips outside of 90 days, a 50% deposit is required upon receipt of confirmation email to confirm your reservations.
