Description

One of the go-to flies for giant trevally in places like the Seychelles and Christmas Island, the brushy is one of our Top Flies for Giant Trevally. Constructed on a stout, corrosion-resistant hook, the Brushy uses a dense synthetic brush head that pushes water and creates a broad, animated profile. Behind it, a long, flowing tail of durable fibers, natural feathers, and flash breathes with every strip, imitating everything from baitfish to juvenile reef dwellers.

At home on the flats and dredging for reef fish, the brushy is a fish-catching-machine when properly presented, attracting all types of trevally, snapper, grouper, barracuda, and more. If you are traveling in pursuit of trevally, you should absolutely have some brush flies in the box.

From Fulling Mill:

"The Brushy. What more can be said about this already proven GT fly? We listened to what our customers asked for and added a broad color range to suit everyone's needs. Not only is this for GTs but also Stripers, big Red's and even the ocassional Tarpon find this hard to resist. Tied on a Gamakatsu SL12s."
