Bozeman's Foremost and Complete Fly Shop and Retail Location

In 2022, Yellow Dog acquired the well-known local shop, Fins & Feathers, rebranding the retailer as “Yellow Dog Flyfishing.” The expansion will provide traveling clients with the best and most relevant gear while also continuing to set the standard as Bozeman’s “fishiest” fly shop. For more than twenty years, Fins & Feathers boasted a reputation for excellent service and diverse offerings, and Yellow Dog looks forward to carrying its legacy.

Local Knowledge & Recommendations

We are always committed to taking great care of local anglers and those visiting the area. Whether you're planning a fly fishing vacation to Montana or hitting a spinner fall on one of our local rivers, we're here to ensure you're prepared! From fly and gear recommendations to angling techniques, fly tying tips, river access information, and more, our fly shop team is excited to share their passion for fly fishing and in-depth knowledge of the surrounding area with you.

Local Guided Trips

Yellow Dog has made the decision to forgo direct outfitting and guiding out of our fly shop location in Four Corner in Southwest Montana, as we do not want to significantly add to the numbers of commercial boats and guides already operating on our area rivers. Instead, we are proud to promote and book a number of established guides and outfitters that have been operating in our region for years. We are delighted to refer anglers and customers to this amazing group of seasoned Montana professionals – outfitters and guides that he have known, worked with, and supported for years.
