No matter what time of the season El Encuentro strives to provide its clients with a diverse array of productive public and private access angling options for brown, rainbow, and brook trout in the Esquel region of central Patagonia. Some of the featured and famed fisheries available to anglers include the Futaleufu, Nant y Fall, Arrayanes, Rivadavia, Corinto, Carrileufu, and Corcovado rivers, Kruger and Verde lakes, and many other smaller rivers and streams. Some waters are floated, some are waded, and at times a combination of the two depending on conditions and desires. Most trout are in the 16 to 23-inch range, with many exceeding 23 inches.

Friday, February 17: Depart USA.
Saturday, February 18: Arrive at Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE). Clear customs, transfer across town to the domestic airport (AEP). Please leave 4 hours for this transfer. Fly from the domestic airport (AEP) to Esquel (EQS). In Esquel, the lodge will pick you up.
February 19 – 24 (Sunday to Friday): Six (6) days of fishing.
Saturday, February 25: Leave the lodge and head to the Esquel Airport (EQS). Fly from Esquel (EQS) to Buenos Aires domestic airport (AEP). Transfer across town to the international airport (EZE). Please leave 4 hours between the time you land at AEP and the time you depart EZE.
Agua Boa Lodge – Brazil
Dates: February 25-March 4, 2023 (5 rods available)Normal Cost: $7,150 per person (based on double occupancy)
Discounted Rate: $4,250 per person
The rivers and tributaries around Agua Boa Lodge are rich and diverse. Possible targets include all three species of peacock bass: the butterfly (up to 10 pounds), the spotted (up to 20 pounds), and the temensis (up to 24 pounds, although it is almost certain that a world-record fish is present in the system. The current record stands at 27 pounds.). Peacock bass is perhaps one of the toughest gamefish around.
